2009-2010 Corporate Affiliate Council (CAC)
Organized in 1996, the NASTD Corporate Affiliate Council (CAC) is a formally recognized advisory body with an influential voice in the activities of the association. The goal of the CAC is to serve as a forum for Corporate Affiliate Members to voice opinions and suggestions as to how to best serve NASTD in their purpose and use the interaction to build strong relationships between corporations and state government. The CAC will serve as the liaison between the Corporate Affiliate Members, the NASTD Executive Board, the NASTD State Members at large, and the NASTD Professional Staff in expressing and presenting Corporate Affiliate opinions and positions.

CAC Chair – Guy Clinch
Director of Solutions Development, Public Sector Markets - Avaya Inc.
Guy W. Clinch is the director of solutions development, Public Sector Markets for Avaya Inc., a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems, and services. He is responsible for the creation of solutions addressing the unique requirements of government, education and healthcare markets. Guy has over 27 years experience in the telecommunications industry during which he has created frameworks of repeatable solutions based on common requirements across vertical and horizontal industry groups. His background also includes successful direction and management of customer facing sales and technical teams. He was previously with Lucent Technologies, where his teams continually surpassed achievement of objectives; and with AT&T where he was responsible for directing technical field forces in real-time customer service interactions. Guy is a member of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials international (APCO International). He also serves as vice-chair of the National Association of State Technology Directors' Corporate Affiliate Council and as the Avaya chair of the International Alliance of Avaya Users Business Continuity and Security Committee. Guy is a frequent spokesperson at various conferences and forums with a primary focus on Avaya solutions in the state and local government, education and healthcare industries. Guy is a graduate of Harvard University and currently resides in Massachusetts.
CAC Vice Chair – Bulent Taskan
Director of Channel and Business Development, PINNACLE IT Service Lifecycle Mgmt – PAETEC
Bulent Taskan is the Director of Channel and Business Development for PINNACLE's Enterprise Service Lifecycle Group's Public Sector team, a subsidiary of PAETEC Holdings Corp. His responsibilities include working with corporate partners and state government IT leaders to help organizations realign their central IT service delivery operations with industry best practices for processes such as effective fiscal management, agency billing, expense management, operational and infrastructure management, end user experience, mobility management, and others. This area of expertise and experience has come from over nine years at PAETEC and five years as a VP of Information Technology at Info Advantage, Inc. Bulent is a graduate of The State University of New York at Brockport with a BS in Information Technology, Business Administration, and Communications. He travels extensively to support more than 100 markets for PAETEC and its partners and has the frequent flier miles to prove it.
