Roger Graves is retiring from state government service effective March 1, 2020. For the past six years, he served as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the Department of Information Technology Services (ITS). The COO role oversees the management and coordination between the three operational divisions consisting of Telecommunications, Security, and Data Center services.
Prior to assuming this role, Roger served as the Director of Telecommunications Services. He has more than 28 years of Information Technology and delivery management experience, beginning his career as a Telecommunications Specialist for the U. S. Army Intelligence and Security Command.
Roger has been an active member in NASTD since January 1992, participating in numerous national events, workgroups, and regional seminars. He served as the Southern Region President in 2011 and chaired the Data Center Focus Group for several years. He continues to promote the organization’s value to new state members and corporate affiliates in the partnership and exchange of solution-driven ideas in supporting state government IT services.
Roger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Mississippi College.
