NASTD COVID-19 Safety Protocols as of May 9, 2022, for the Annual Conference & Technology Showcase Update

As of March 1, 2022, vaccine verification requirements are no longer in effect in Washington State and King County.  And as of March 12, 2022, indoor and outdoor mask mandates have been revoked from most settings.

To reflect changing pandemic-related circumstances and the latest guidance from appropriate public health officials, NASTD will follow the state and local CDC guidelines for the annual conference in August. Currently masking and proof of vaccination will not be required.

NASTD reserves the right to revise our safety protocols as needed to reflect changing pandemic-related circumstances and the latest guidance from appropriate public health and safety officials, including reinstating proof of vaccination and/or masking requirements.

We encourage all event attendees to be vaccinated and boosted for their own safety and for the safety of others they will interact with.  The following safety protocols remain in effect.

Before Leaving Home

  • All registrants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with and comply with all COVID-19-related guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and by the appropriate state, county and local public health authorities.
  • Registrants who feel sick, who have tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of a NASTD event (even if still asymptomatic), or who have been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19 within 10 days of a NASTD event should stay home.

On-site During the Event

  • All registrants are required to adhere to social distancing protocols set by NASTD by complying with all relevant signage and instructions, and by complying with all seating and capacity restrictions.
  • All registrants who experience symptoms associated with COVID-19 while attending a NASTD event are required to immediately discontinue their participation in the event and are encouraged to immediately seek medical care.
