Develops and implements annual association work plan to meet the professional needs of the membership; reports directly to the NASTD president and executive board on strategic planning and related goal achievements; directs staff in formulation and execution of programs and events that offer education and information sharing to the membership; ensures that all projects, programs, events and affiliated programs are beneficial and financially profitable; manages association annual budget; manages day-to-day operations of the association; responsible for overall financial planning, management and reporting; directs membership development; promotes association to current and potential partners; works with executive board and membership to identify and conduct outreach with common-issues organizations; determines staffing requirements, supervises staff and provides individual development opportunities; represents NASTD to CSG and affiliated state associations. 

Meetings & Member Services Manager - Pam Johnson 859-244-8184

Plans meeting logistics for regional seminars and coordinates with regional vice president and/or host state; manages pre-registration and sponsorship logistics and post-seminar follow-up; manages on-site meeting logistics; oversees on-site registration. Manages pre-registration, sponsorship and exhibitor logistics; manages on-site conference and technology showcase registration; manages on-site conference and technology showcase logistics. Designs all conference and regional seminar web pages (general information, agendas, sponsorship, registration and associated on-line secure forms); designs all regional seminar promotional and registration material; works with communications design firm on design and printing of national conference promotional material; manages invoicing and tracking of membership dues, national conference and regional seminar fees, technology showcase fees; oversees membership database.

Communications and Research Specialist - Paul Czarnecki - 859-244-8186

Provides membership with latest information on technology and regulatory issues and trends through eMonitor newsletter and social media; provides summaries of state member online discussions and surveys; develops ad hoc electronic surveys; works on special projects as required by regulatory or other special interest groups (SIGs); works directly with special interest groups on projects and attends SIG conference calls as needed; coordinates website updates and changes; manages association online community and social media; demonstrates website capabilities to members as needed; responds to website concerns and monitors discussion lists; participates on technology and policy trends CSG committees and task forces; contributes occasional articles related to state government technology to CSG's magazine, State News.
