I am a woman in IT; more specifically, part of the 25% of women in the Information Technology industry. Over the course of my multi-decade career, I have lived the impact of a lack of diversity in IT and am now a fervent advocate for other women to choose IT as a career. My goal as an advocate is to foster a more diverse, interesting, and overall enjoyable IT community.
Currently, I am serving the great state of North Dakota as a Business Applications Manager, a position I've occupied across nearly every one of my jobs. Supporting Agile teams in App Dev is a fun way for my creative mind to keep busy while serving a higher purpose of ensuring high team morale.
