Steve Patterson is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with the Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services (ITS).
Formerly the Corporate IT Director for a financial dot-com startup, he has been in the public sector for almost two decades. He enjoyed significant time in technical operations and management roles delivering hosted solutions to state agency partners. He has leveraged his background in ITIL-based service management and enterprise strategy to help identify and refine state-wide IT strategies across public sector organizations. Presently, he serves as the Director of the Data Services division of ITS, integrating state-wide private cloud infrastructure, enterprise public cloud partnerships, internal IT services, mainframe hosting, custom application development, and identity management services to help build the next generation of digital government in Mississippi.
